Our Experienced Teachers
Janice taught kindergarten at Sprucewood Elementary for 3 years before her children were born. She now enjoys running her own preschool and volunteering at her childrens' schools. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education and a minor in music. She likes reading, cooking, hiking, playing the piano and flute, attending live theater and spending time with her husband and five children. She likes to vacation at National Parks and other warm places. Her favorite movie is Enchanted. Janice is CPR/AED and First Aid certified.
Jennifer Ipson Heiner - Preschool Teacher
Jennifer taught at Draper Elementary for 10 years in grades kindergarten through third. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education and an endorsement to teach students who speak English as a second language. She has a math endorsement and a technology endorsement. She completed her Masters of Education at SUU. Jennifer enjoys playing the flute and piano, reading, baking, and going on vacation. Jennifer is CPR/AED and First Aid certified.
Katy Ipson Halliday - Substitute Teacher
Katy has taught kindergarten and 3rd grade at Western Hills Elementary. She taught at the BYU preschool and completed a degree at BYU in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education, a music minor, and an endorsement to teach students who have English as a second language. She also has an endorsement to teach gifted and talented students. Katy loves to read, hike, travel, play piano and violin, and spend time with her five children and husband.
